We offer a gathering place, apart from home or work, where people can meet on a regular basis without the burden of organizing get-togethers or “entertaining.” People with young children face so many obstacles, they often become isolated in a narrow range of activities where they can socialize or hang out away from home. Think of this as your time to recharge your batteries, check your email, flip through a magazine, and take a deep, long breath…among friends.
We want to foster spontaneous and genuine community among families in the San Francisco Bay area. Our classes, family concerts, parenting education workshops, dance parties, special events, and support groups offered at PDC are available to all patrons on a drop-in basis. The cafe provides a welcoming, comfortable environment where children and adults can gather on a daily basis so over time, they can develop lasting friendships and exchange resources.
